Lake Yonah, located between Toccoa and Tallulah Falls is the last lake in the chain of six managed by Georgia Power in Northeast Georgia. With approximately seventy-two vacation and permanent homes, Yonah is the least populated of the Georgia Power lakes, making for a water sports paradise. Quiet enough to enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding or any water sport any time of the day. Lake Yonah is surrounded by steep canyon walls of solid granite that provide a scenic backdrop in this reservoir.  With more shoreline and acreage per home than the other lakes in the chain, Lake Yonah exudes a strong natural beauty uninterrupted by over-development.   Lake Yonah is conveniently located near Tallulah Falls and the charming town of Clarkesville and offers easy access to three golf courses: Currahee  Club,  Apple Mountain, and the Orchard.  The Lake Yonah community is small, but an annual bar-b-q and the July 4th fireworks on the lake afford an opportunity for neighborly interaction.
